• SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT IN CHILDHOOD AND ADOLESCNCE

  Africa Christian Youth Development Foundation is partnering with the Search Institute's Center for Spiritual Development in Childhood and Adolescence www.spiritualdevelopmentcenter.org to advance the scientific study of spiritual development by conducting qualitative and quantitative cross-cultural research on the nature, processes, and outcomes of spiritual development in childhood and adolescence.

  We are contributing to this important Global Research initiative by conducting six Focus Groups, on behalf of Search Institute in six major cities in Nigeria between October and November 2006.

• DAYS OF INTERFAITH YOUTH SERVICE

In partnership with the Interfaith Youth Core and Youth Service America, we are organizing the 2007 Days of Interfaith Youth Service (DIYS) and the Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) in Jos-Nigeria from April 20-22.

The program will bring together religiously diverse youths from hometowns and universities across Nigeria to explore and act upon the impulse of service in their religious traditions and work towards better inter-religious understanding.

Through the DIYS we intend to build a national network of faith and civic communities that are engaging their religious diversity in working toward better understanding and cooperative service.
